October, 2010 Archives

Fred Briegs plays the organ at the First Presbyterian Church, Friday, October 15, 2010, on Rahway Avenue in Woodbridge. Mr Briegs is celebrating fifty years playing the pedals and pipes at the church.

I had the pleasure of spending a few hours on a very windy Raritan Bay, photographing members of the Perth Amboy High School sailing team as they learned their sport. I happened to have my lens trained on freshman team members Milene De La Cruz and Isabel Santos when a gust of wind capsized their boat and tossed Milene into the 65 degree bay. Both girls came up smiling.

Rutgers Football by Jason Towlen

Despite all the red jerseys, it was the guy in white, Tulane tight end Brock Sanders, who hauled in this pass from QB Ryan Griffin. The underdog Green Wave swamped Rutgers 17-14 at Rutgers Stadium in Piscataway.
